Turned off my phone as I wasn't sure that I'd be able to charge it, but when I turned it back on it started greeting me in various languages, telling me my phone needs to be activated to icloud or something. I have never used icloud, though I'm pretty sure I had to create an account when I got the phone 3 years ago.
