Last month I cleaned my 5 year old PC (8 gigs of ram, gtx770, msi motherboard, i7 processor, 1 tb hdd if it matters) with a small air blower. I heard that it would be the safest option so my father brought one from work and I cleaned it out. The problem is, I might have held it a little too close and damaged some components, because right after finishing cleaning PC did a "disk scan" while booting.
At first I thought it was okay, but then my files started to corrupt so I did a clean install formatting my drives with a freshly downloaded image. But the issues didn't go away as I started getting file corruptions even in system32 dll files. Now I can't download games on steam, due to "DISK WRITE ERROR" popups, and I can't play any due to missing or bad imaged dll files in system32. I could reach command prompt last week, and tried to check and solve corrupted system files, but it would always fail. Now I can't even access cmd.
My guess is that I damaged the hard drive and since even a full system format didn't solve it I have to replace my HDD. But whenever I use software like "Hard Disk Sentinel" or "CrystalDiskInfo" it tells me that my HDD has perfect health. So I can't decide if HDD is the source of this problem. So my question is, with all these information, can I be sure that my HDD is damaged and a clean install after replacing it will repair my PC? Thank you for the answer in advance.
