I recently had a hard drive that started dying, so I replaced it with the Seagate. Ever since I replaced the dying hard drive, all of my hard drives have had file transfer speed issues. It doesn't matter which hard drives the files transfer to/from, they always start off quickly and then every few seconds take a huge drop in speed. For example: From the HGST to the Seagate, it'll transfer at 30MB/s, drop to 4MB/s, then go back up to 30MB/s and do that over and over again. It will even do that from I transfer from the HGST to the SSD, which worked perfectly fine before replacing the other drive.
List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem.
I've tested the RAM with MEMTEST86 and it passed. I also updated my bios.
Does anyone have any advice on what I could check? Why would changing one hard drive affect the other drives' performance too?
