Hello, I have had this problem for about 2 months now where my PC will randomly lose power for a second and then turn back on automatically, sometimes it would do it many times in a row (while still booting) and sometimes it would do it every few hours.

My system had been running fine for over 3 years now, I had also added a GTX 1060 which has been running fine for a year now.

I upgraded my system 5 months ago to an i7 7700k and also replaced the motherboard and added DDR4 ram, no issues at all until just recently.

My current PC specs:

  • i7-7700K
  • ASRock B250 Gaming K4 Motherboard
  • Gigabyte nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 WindForce OC 3GB
  • Kingston 1x8GB DDR4 Ram
  • CoolerMaster Hyper 212X CPU Cooler
  • 2 HDD's, 1 SSD, 1 Optical drive.
  • Cougar RS750 750W 80 PLUS Certified Power Supply
  • I have just replaced this PSU today with Corsair CX650M 650W 80 Plus Bronze (problem persists)

The power loss is really random and when it does occur it can occur again rapidly (as if something is overheated). This makes the Windows auto recovery come up and it will diagnose the issue to have no fix for it.

I have made sure that BSOD would show but it is not a BSOD problem. I have also removed the MB battery for a few hours and reset the CMOS.

My temps shown with just minor web browsing and not many programs opened (when this power issue occurs too)

Temps in Middle Earth for an hour

I had run memtest86 for only 30 minutes, I had 1 pass, 0 fails, the PC did not switch off during this time, I'm not sure if I should leave it on for longer. I have reseated the ram multiple times. Memory diagnostic also showed no errors.

I have tried two outlets (and different power strips) from my room, I am suspicious that it could be my house power but I can't rule it out from my Motherboard or CPU.

I have narrowed it down to either RAM, MOBO, CPU, I have warranty but I still would like to know what could be the issue.

Thank you
