Hello,
I recently gave my AMD graphics card to my brother and am planning on buying a 1080 Ti around Christmas. In the mean time, he gave me his GTX 760. Ever since I installed it I haven't been able to play a single game because every game freezes in under 5 minutes of gameplay. I also swapped my motherboard when I changed graphics cards with him, but I doubt the motherboard is the problem. Whenever the game freezes there's no windows message, it simply freezes. Most games I can just do alt+tab and close it, but I can't play the game. On WarThunder two things have happened, either the whole computer freezes and the sound gets all weird and dragged or the game freezes for a few seconds, I alt+tab and enter it again and get the nvida ansel message telling me I can use, which leads me to believe it's the famous 'nvidia dirver has stopped working and recovered' issue. There was one time it gave me something like 'the application was blocked from accessing hardware', something similiar to that.
Things I've tried:

Re-seating the graphics card

Changing the pci slot

Trying to play games using the intel hd graphics (worked fine)

Changing cable output

Changing the power options on the nvidia panel

Changing the power plan in windows

Changing the display refresh rate

Making a custom power maximum and fan curve on Asus GPUTweak

Using older drivers, using newer drivers (always unnistaled them with DDU)

Using the windows update drivers

Reinstalling Windows

Ran system file checker and DISM commands

Increased the windows waiting time for the graphics card to respond (I can't remember the exact name of this procces, I had to go to the regestry and change a value from 0 to 8)
