Yesterday Win10 updated and now I have no sound. I have already uninstalled the sound driver (realtek) and reinstalled to no avail.
Speakers are Logitech Z506, motherboard is Gigabyte - GA-Z97X-UD5H
Things already checked:
- Sound is not muted
- Realtek driver re-installed and updated
- All sound related drivers in Device Manager are up to date
- When troubleshooting the only problem that appears is "Generic Audio Driver" but I'm not sure what that means.
- Front panel jacks have been disabled (no effect)
- Audio enhancements have been disabled (no effect)
- Speakers (Realtek) are default device and "register sound"
- All connections between speakers and "base" and "base" and computer have been unplugged and replugged
