Eight people have corroborated the story of his alleged predatory behavior.
Eight individuals told CNN that actor Kevin Spacey, last week accused of harassing actor Anthony Rapp when Rapp was 14 and Spacey was 26, created a hostile work environment on the House of Cards set in which sexual harassment was a norm.
One former production assistant alleges that Spacey sexually assaulted him in a car. The assistant told CNN that Spacey put his hand down the assistant's pants without consent before they arrived on the House of Cards set.
"I was in a state of shock," the man said. "He was a man in a very powerful position on the show and I was someone very low on the totem pole and on the food chain there."
The man claimed Spacey proceeded to corner him in a trailer, at which point he said, "I don't think I'm okay with this, I don't think I'm comfortable with this." Spacey reportedly became "flustered" and fled.
The numerous sources paint a picture of routine inappropriate touching on-set and crude sexual comments targeted at young male assistants.
Spacey's publicist, Staci Wolf, said Thursday that she and Creative Artists Agency would no longer be representing Spacey, who is reportedly "seeking treatment."
The former production assistant says he informed his supervisor about Spacey's harassment months before the alleged assault.
"I have no doubt that this type of predatory behavior was routine for him and that my experience was one of many and that Kevin had few if any qualms about exploiting his status and position," he told CNN. "It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors."
