Nicolle Wallace, a conservative MSNBC host who worked in the administration of President George W. Bush, explained that President Trump's Tuesday remarks about embattled Alabama Republican senate candidate Roy Moore "repulsed" her.

“I have this physical feeling of just being repulsed [...] I don’t know what other word to use other than repulsed, that the head of the Republican Party said essentially threw his weight behind someone accused of stalking and engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old," Wallace said.

“There’s nothing normal about throwing your weight behind a child molester. So, when [...] this president says, ‘He denies it, he denies it,’ I almost heard in him, ‘I denied it too,'” Wallace added.

She assessed Trump's comments as representating his internal response to the sexual misconduct accusations that have been made against him.

“He’s almost projecting onto Roy Moore his own circumstance," Wallace said.
