here in Australia we just acquired NBN or fibre optics and have become quite a laughing stock as the service is basically shit. anyways i am paying for a 100Mbps service through my provider and the modem they sent out to us only lets us get up to around 20Mbps however in the past month or so my speed has drastically dropped as it has for many other Australians and at this point it is taking me 4 minutes to load a page in the morning after multiple attempts of trying to connect to my home network. this may be simply because my modem is on the complete opposite side of my house and the signal is weak but it never used to be this way and it feels as if my services quality is declining. ANYWAYS i am thinking that buying a new modem specifically the ASUS DSL-AC68U Dual Band Wireless AC Modem Router will solve all of my problems and help me get up close to 90-100 Mbps (which is what im paying for) but network is not my speciality and i dont exactly want to spend $280 on something that wont make much difference so i need help in figuring out if this will help me or not
