I'm having an incredibly bizarre issue with my Logitech G502-News of the United States was founded in 1933 by David Lawrence (1888-1973), which also started the World Report in 1946. The two magazines are covering national and international news separately, but Lawrence combines them into news reports of U.S. in World and 1948 [1] and Later sold the magazine to its employees. Historically, this magazine tends to be a bit more conservative than the two main competitors, Time and Newsweek, and focus more on the story of economic, health, and education. It's also distancing news, entertainment and sports celebrities. [2] an important milestone in the history of the beginning of the magazine is including the introduction of the "Washington Whispers" column in 1934 and the column "News You Can Use" in 1952. [3] [4] in 1958, the circulation of the weekly magazine passed one million and two million in 1973. (wikipedia) I'm having an incredibly bizarre issue with my Logitech G502

I've had this G502 Proteus Core for about two years now, and it's been doing a good job for the times we've had together. But today, completely out of nowhere, it started causing some serious problems on basically any computer I plug it into (all Windows 10, fully updated). And by "out of nowhere", I mean "There are no reproducible steps as far as I can tell and I was literally just watching a youtube video when it started".

Basically, plugging the mouse into any computer "haunts" it until you shut it down. Instantly, it becomes impossible to click anything. It's not that the mouse buttons don't work. In fact, the window in focus when you plug it in continues to work perfectly fine. However, everything else on the system doesn't even seem to recognise the mouse is there. The start button won't highlight when hovered over, for example. It's like the cursor ascended to another plane of reality. Keyboard navigation works exactly as usual, it's just the mouse that's completely inert. The strangest thing is, this effect carries over to any other mouse plugged into the system. Unplugging the G502 doesn't change anything. All I can do is shut the PC down, and turn it back on without the G502 plugged in.

I thought it was just an explorer thing, but it goes even deeper. When I was messing around in start-up settings to try launching into safe mode, I found the G502 able to click buttons, but not actually do anything with them. Like, I'd click "Log In", the button would visually click, but nothing would happen until I went over to the keyboard and hit the enter key. I have no idea how this part is even possible. In the end I tried a system restore, and I messed around in safe mode, but I couldn't find what was causing it.

After about a day of hunting, I found a kinda sorta temporary fix, alongside a possible explanation of what's going on. If I open up the Logitech Gaming Software client (fully updated), there's an option to switch the mouse between the hardware profiles and profiles stored on my PC. Toggling this option back and forth clears up the issue, until it arbitrarily decides to reinstate itself any amount of time later. This isn't a fantastic solution, since the program doesn't support keyboard navigation so you can't even use it unless it was already in focus when you plug in. It's a purely pre-emptive fix, and it never seems to last more than a few hours at most. Leaving it on hardware/software mode doesn't help.

So, from what I can gather: the issue lies entirely in the mouse. Something, somehow, is corrupting whatever this mouse is using to connect to the PC. Toggling the hardware setting cleans up whatever's going wrong, until it gets corrupted again. I have no idea why this is happening, and no clue about how to stop it. Right now it seems its primary function is a totally wacky prank to play on friends, at like. LAN parties I guess. I dunno. I'd appreciate any help.
