There is an existing fully functional wifi network in my house (on my dad's main Asus router) that I use on my laptops and phone with no problems (wirelessly or course). I want to get my desktop tower connected wirelessly to this just like the rest of my devices, by it is only equipped with Ethernet, no wifi adapter. I want to use this old and spare secondary EA3500 router as a way to do that.
Note the EA 3500 is not the source of the wifi, the existing wifi network is on my dad's Asus router and is working fine.
The EA3500 is spare/extra and I wish to use it for the purposes of allowing my desktop to join the existing wifi network wirelessly.
Additional info would be that I "upgraded" the firmware from that stupid linksys one with all the graphical icons and shit back down to 1.0.30 which looks like the classic interface that is all text and not shit
There is a "bridge mode" I see listed but it describes plugging the router into another router.
