Hi there,
So I live in rural Ireland and have a technical issue I was hoping someone could help me with. Our local ISP has just started offering a much much faster internet service to anyone who has a line of sight to the mast. Unfortunately we don't, however, our neighbour who lives 500 meters away does. We have a very clear line of sight to our neighbours house though. I was just wondering what is involved in getting internet, with her permission, transmitted from her house to ours. I've gotten as far as realising we will need a directional wifi dish such as this one and probably a booster. But beyond that, I'm not sure. I am quite good with computers in general but not really how to send/receive wifi signals. What is required to connect our neighbours internet to the dish, and how do we then receive it and transmit it out the router in our house.
If it's important we are currently receiving our interenet by a dish on our roof. So I was thinking it's a matter of getting a booster on our nieghbours roof and then just pointing our dish at that?
