Hey Lads,
Just bought 2 brand new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 6GB cards for my wife and I, swap them both out, her PC boots fine and mine hangs at the Gigabyte splash screen and goes no where and it doesn't register any inputs. I swap the cards between our systems and hers boots fine and mine does the same thing and hangs at the splash screen again, so both cards are fine.
I thought, well my PSU is a couple years old but should be fine but maybe it's having an issue i'll just get a new one, ordered a Corsair RM850i 850W 80 Plus Gold and got a new case and H100i cooler while I was at it.
Transferred everything to the new case, installed the new PSU and cooler and it still hangs at the splash screen. When I install my old EVGA GTX660 back in, it boots to the OS as normal so I try my wife's old Asus GTX 760 and it does the same thing as the new 1060 and hangs at the splash screen.
Currently using my 660 again so I can post this.
