So I have a lenovo L440, 120gb SSD, 8gb ram, running Windows 7. I recently cleared out a bunch of space on my computer- had about 12gb free but it started to fill over a few days. I did disk cleanup, deleted some old backups etc which saved some space but it filled back up. I turned off system protection after finding out that it could be saving backups (and I have an external backup). I turned off hibernation (command prompt: powercfg hibernate off), limited my paging file etc. Still filling my harddrive up so I got windirstat and see a bunch of files in a folder called swshare->app->factoryrecovery. Theres some files listed like cdrivebackup1.swm cdrivebackup2.swm etc. Taking up about 12 gb all written in the last few days. First of call can I delete these safely, and secondly how can I stop these from being written here?
