In the past couple days, I've noticed two things that have me concerned.

  1. Whenever I go to the main Google page or Google maps, it redirects me to google.cl (Chile) instead of google.com (US).

  2. When I sign in to a web site with my Google account, my two-factor authentication (or whatever Google's security thing is) tells me the sign-in request is coming from Chile.

I've tried to change Google's region settings. They said "Current Location", but just to be on the safe side I switched them to the US. However, it still redirects me to .cl.

I've checked my IP address, and its location is where I expect it to be in the US.

I've also run a Malwarebytes scan just to be on the safe side, and it didn't find anything.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? How can I fix this? It's a little disconcerting.

Thanks a bunch!
