Hi there. To make things easier, here's my setup in Paint.

http://ift.tt/2y3Qv8Q

Up until yesterday I had my XPS running through displayport to my external monitor just fine when the laptops lid was closed, however for some reason it started acting up today, and when the lid is closed my monitor is not active anymore. I switched out the DisplayPort cable to a HDMI cable and everything was working as intended, but I would like to have DisplayPort due to the higher refresh rate.

To clarify, when the laptops lid is open, duplicating/extending works fine. However my intended way for the setup to work is to plug in the laptop into my docking station with the lid closed when I come home, and have everything up and running on my external setup in a matter of seconds. I currently don't have any use of having "two monitors", so it's a lot easier just having a closed laptop lid.

My power options already has the "Close lid: Do nothing" option when plugged in.

Help is greatly appreciated!
