This is probably not the best place to ask but I'm not sure where else to ask.

My daughter is pretty well versed in Internet safety but came to me freaking out and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or if I need to be worried.

She was on MSP, accepted message from a player that she's familiar with to talk on Snapchat (she knows not to do this but, kids don't always think or follow rules).

While on Snapchat, game friend asks if she wants to send nudes. She immediately blocks the user before he can send a picture and goes to MSP on laptop to block the user there as well.

When she goes back to her phone (Android), she notices a system notification that location was found. Opens settings and location is still turned off. She's always on ghost mode on Snapchat as well.

So now she's terrified that someone managed to remotely turn on/off her phone location via the Snapchat message.

I'm pretty sure that isn't possible and even if it was, the odds of that someone living in the same city as us is pretty slim but... I'm still concerned that maybe I should be concerned.?

Is there something I can check on her phone? Anything I should do? Silver lining, this gave me a "mother knows best" opportunity to remind her why we don't chat with people we don't know irl.
