So, I didn't do my research and bought both the TCL P605 and the Logitech z506 surround sound speaker system before I realized that I can't seem to connect them together in a way that actually produces 5.1 surround sound. I can only get 2 channel stereo out of it by connecting a standard audio cable from the audio/headphone out port on the TV to the audio in on the z506.
Based on what I can find, I might be able to use the HDMI 3 port on the TV (which supports ARC) to connect to some sort of audio conversion device I can buy which then can plug into the three 6 channel audio ports on the z506?
This is all a bit out of my expertise so I was hoping someone could help and point me in the direction of what I need to buy to get 5.1 surround sound working from the TV out of the z506 speakers. If you can also tell me what needs to plug into what, I would be forever grateful..
