Short version: I need the cheapest tablet possible - that still works - that will give me a browser and wifi access.

Longer version: I've been ridiculously excited lately to have more work, I work from home doing virtual administrative assistant work. One of several jobs is answering the phone for a local electrician (the calls redirect to my cell via the Grasshopper app). It's a really good fit for me as a job. The only issue I'm coming up against is that I can't LEAVE my house from 9-5, and I do other work as well (depending on the week). For the job to work I need to have several documents in front of me, some Google Sheets that I created and use to keep track of appointments and client information, that sort of thing. I've tried having them on my smartphone but I can't realistically speak to clients and look at the spreadsheets in crowded public places where speakerphone isn't an option. The solution I have come up with is to get myself a tablet - this would free me up to be able to leave the house as needed and still do my job.

However, I'm still extremely poor. I was looking at the Amazon Fire tablets because those are the cheapest available, it seems, and the main drawback seems to be the low-res screen; my main concern, though, is that it's described as having a completely new OS. Without a browser or gmail app. I'm used to Android; I really just need a small tablet, with a browser, under $100, to carry around with me. Would the Amazon Fire fit that bill? And if not, are there other options I could look into?

Thank you so much!
