Hey guys, this may be a ?tad advanced? for a tech support thread- but i need help. I recently got given a glorious Sansui AU-D11 Amplifier unit from an old radio station. So i have it all set up perfectly, connected to some monitors i use often. Any way, all that happens when the amp switches on is that there is a horrendously loud buzz ( like a 50-60 hz tone ) and then i get freaked out and shut it off. Upon close inspection, there are no obviously burnt out components any where. I tested the main power transistors with the diode setting of my multimeter, then with the resistance setting. One of the transistors showed a high impedance ( unlike any others in the set ) , so i assumed that was indicative of the problem and ordered a replacement. Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing? What other components should i expect to replace / have to test before turning the unit back on? Any help is appreciated, i really don't want magic smoke. Here is the link to access the service manual: http://ift.tt/2z6oBgj Really depending on you Redditors for guidance here! Thanks.
