So yesterday all of a sudden my pc lost connection to our home network while playing a game, I have an ipad playing YT videos while gaming and that worked just fine. But now my pc won’t connect to anything.
At first I was able to use my phone as a hotspot to update the wifi card’s driver, but it still wouldn’t connect so I restarted the rig several times. Each time it wouldn’t connect to anything at all anymore.
I was planning to reset the OS very soon since I encountered my first blue screen recently, and I suspect it has something to do with the wifi card acting up because the pc is getting clogged and the OS hasn’t been reset in ages. But now I can’t download the nessecary files to perform the reset, and no cd drive.
The card is an «ASUS PCE-AC56 Wireless ACDual-band PCIe Adapter» with the latest drivers and no external damage to the antennas nor the card, the pc has been standing still for weeks. I can’t wrap my head around what may have gone wrong and google has just left me with even more questions.
No ethernet cables are available at home, so I might need to buy one.
