In the comments there I was referred to KASPERSKY rescue disk, but since I'm not sure how to mount an iso file, I figured I would try using ESET or AVIRA's rescue operations, since they offer .exe options as well as .iso.
I'm experiencing problems with both, do you know why these issues are occuring?
ESET Rescue Thumb Drive: I start the comp and press f12. The Eset rescue drive page pops up and I select to begin the operation. Next the screen immediately turns grey, with a small blinking bar appearing at the top left. (The kind of bar that indicates that you can type text for example), but it doesn't proceed past this point. I've waited as long as 5 minutes for something to happen.
AVIRA rescue disk: I start the computer and don't press f12, and the rescue operation for avira rescue disk comes up naturally. I begin the operation and the screen turns black and a bunch of text starts scrolling up the screen. (Which I presume is the operation working). However, within just several seconds, the operation gets stuck at this line:
"2866653 fb: conflicting fb hw usage nouveaufb vs EFI VGA -removing generic driver"
Waiting as long as five minutes and nothing. Thank you in advance if you know this kind of stuff!
