Currently running Fedora 22 Workstation as my OS. Been using it for 2 years, have had no problems.
Woke up unable to do much of anything. Out of nowhere a random key would start repeating (e.g. "SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS...", "uuuuuuuuuuuuu..."); the super key wouldn't work; I randomly couldn't access any of the drop-downs in order to reboot, power off, or open applications, etc.; when I was able to type something (with caps lock off), all my letters were lower-case but numbers were only giving me symbols as if 'shift' was engaged... which prevented me from logging in a few times, as I have numbers in my password); and most curiously, in the 'notifications' drop-down there was a notification that read "You may now unplug 300GigExt", but I don't even own a 300GB external drive...; and so many other odd things were happening, and I was basically unable to do anything even after hard reboots.
Eventually I noticed my fan was sounding a little weird, so I blew out my vents with some compressed air. A little dust came out, but nothing crazy. Ever since, it seems to be acting fine. But I'm still concerned about the 300GigExt notification... how could a HDD that I don't even own have been plugged into this? Just wondering thoughts on all of this. Could a little dust have been causing my laptop to utterly flip out like that?
Thanks
