Hello guyz, I'm in a deep need of help! Praying the god of ddr4 ram does not help my case so I need some reddit angels to help me..
I recently upgraded my cpu from an i5 6600k to an i7 7700k on my gigabyte z170 ultra gaming.
I had to upgrade the bios from f4 to f23d it went smoothly. After I installed the cpu I was playing, it was all good but then I realized windows only detect 8gb of my ram.. Hyper x black 2133mhz ddr4 (2times 2x4gb) {it was totally fine and running perfectly with the i5 6600k, I just needed more POWER}
I started trying to fix the issue, as I had an issue in a previous motherboard I checked for any cpu pin bent it was all good.
I adjusted the cpu cooler for it not to be too tight
Checked cpuz and the bios
Changed for XMP profil and every possible option in the bios manual, oc, etc
Tried every ram and every slots with any combination possible, it all works fine but even with 3 ram it still put 2 out of 4 dimm used and 8,0gb
I disabled internal graphic, enabled fast and ultra fast boot putted it back to normal
Downgraded to bios to f21 and format windows (I m now back to f23d as I belive its better to be up to date)
I let the computer sleep for few days..
So I tried almost everything I could came up with if you guyz have any ideas better than praying the motherboard god to release a new bios please help me!!
