Hey there, I was wondering in anyone could help me with this problem. My mouse keeps freezing up and it is driving me up the wall.
It seems to be a USB connection issue as it clears up for a couple minutes if I pull out the USB connector for a second and then put it back and it readjusts after a few seconds but as you can imagine this is really screwing up my work flow and making me crazy (as if I need extra help with that). System specs at the bottom of the post.
It seems to go in the same order every time:
1) the speed of the scroll starts acting erractically, goes too fast in bursts then too slow, the response time goes wonky. The clicker will also have a delayed reaction which causes me when browsing to end up clicking on a lot of things that I didn't intend to click on – there seems to be a difference between where the mouse cursor is visually and where the computer “feels like it is” although that could have to do with the delay and then the speed catching up
2) sometimes it will start jittering before it stops sometimes the motion just stops reacting to movement controls
3) the scroll wheel stops responding
4) the clicker sometimes still responds so that's weird (not always it could be in the process of declickafying while I've already caught it and do the thing with the USB connection) sometimes the clicker keeps working
I am on a laptop and this issue only happens with the mouse, not the touchpad and not with my Wacom tablet.
I have:

changed batteries

changed mice (same problem regardless of mouse, and the mice work fine on other computers)
-
reinstalled mice drivers
-
tried different USB ports (same problem regardless)
-
reinstalled USB drivers
Does anyone have an ideas of what I can try next? Is there a specific USB driver I could try that's better than the default ones that the computer finds online?
