last week my laptop broke, i could not turn it on anymore or get any response.
so i decided to build a pc. meanwhile i used a older laptop
building the pc was no problem and windows installation went fine, but the next day when i tried to turn the pc on i only got error messages and the pc kept crashing during boot. it turned out one of my two ram sticks was broken, so i tried running on a single stick and everything went fine.
but the next day i had the same problem. that day my 2nd laptop broke aswell.
i ran the memtest86 to test the ram. it detected 1000 errors an then the programm froze
today i bought a new ram stick. i am running the memtest86 right now, and the new ram seems to be fine, but i am scared that if i leave it in it will break again
does anyone have a clue on what the heck is going on here. i am totally lost
