Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit, but seems as good of place as any to post. I've been having a weird problem with my GPS for about the past couple of months. My car has a built in GPS system, that displays a map, however I generally use my phone to navigate since it actually updates for traffic and current road conditions.

I was on a road trip over Labor day, and my phone started saying "GPS signal lost" every 5-10 minutes. It would regain connection shortly, and since I was in a somewhat remote area, I figured it was just having issues picking up a signal. Then I noticed my car's GPS was off too, showing that I was driving off the actual highway. Somewhere around Cleveland, my car decided it was actually a boat. I restarted my phone, which slowed down the messages about losing the GPS signal to once every 15-20 minutes, but nothing else.

I made it back home safely, and my car's GPS is still messed up (note the no GPS signal in the top left hand corner of the picture, that's still showing up). I flew to a couple different cities last month, and used my phone to navigate there with no issues. However, this past weekend, I went on another road trip, and in my own car, my phone kept saying "GPS signal lost" every 15 minutes or so. One of my passengers loaded up GPS on their phone so we could navigate, and had no issues.

As far as I can guess, something in my car's GPS system is interfering with my phone, since my phone works fine outside of my car. I've had both for a while, while the GPS issue is relatively recent. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it or what could be done to fix it? I've gone through all the settings on my car's GPS, even manually set my current location, and it's still messed up. I care more about not being able to use my phone to navigate than my car showing the wrong place though.
