I am trying to wipe my hard drive by using DBAN. So far I have installed both the Dban iso file and rufus. From there I followed a guide on how to correctly get DBAN on to the flash drive so that i could boot it. However, when i go to boot it i get two options. One is DBAN, which when i press enter during the 'change boot directory' does not do anything and i have to go back. The other one is an empty partition which also does nothing. I have had the same problem for not only dban but other iso files such as tails. I do have a bootable Ubuntu on a flash drive which does boot successfully. I am struggling to find the problem as to why i cannot boot certain iso files from a flash drive. Please help.
