My mom called Spectrum to come out because the wifi wasn't reaching into the basement, and they "activated their 5G", which was always attached to the router but never enabled apparently. Now we have 2 wifi signals, the 5G being much faster than our regular, and they said it wasn't any extra money.
This feels like something that might start accumulating bills, I've never heard of just being able to "activate the 5G" signal on a router. They've tried calling Spectrum but can't seem to get any more information on it. Am I worried for no reason, or does this sound fishy to anyone else?
