I've been using the above monitor for about 3 years without issue, but it has recently started turning itself off and on at random- sometimes it will turn off completely, and sometimes 'reset'. At times, the monitor will work happily for days without any issue, and other times it will constantly power cycle.
Things I have tried to troubleshoot, based on what little I could find with my weak Google-Fu:
Changed out power supply (and power lead)- issue persists.
Changed the connection to the PC (different HDMI leads, also tried VGA connection)- issue persists.
Cleaned the exterior of the monitor case with isopropyl wipes (incase anything was fouling the touch bar thing that works instead of buttons)- issue persists.
I suspect the issue is with the 'buttons'- there's a touch bar thing in place of physical buttons for power/menu access. These can become unresponsive or erratic when the monitor is playing up.
Is there anything else I can do for this monitor or is it consigned to the scrap heap? I don't mind taking the cover off and having a fiddle if I need to, but can't actually work out how, since there are no visible screws.
I'm loathe to spend money on repairs unless it's a cheapy, since it was hardly a top of the line screen when new, let alone 3 years later.
