Description of problem

Hi, Maybe this does not fit here, apologies. Perhaps a recommendation for another subreddit if that's the case?

I run a grocery store and we end up printing price tags every day. My current solution is using Parallels on my Mac so I can use NiceLabel Express on Windows.

It's ugly, doesn't have the functionality I need and it's more time consuming than I'd like. I thought perhaps I could use Adobe Illustrator to create a template and pull the data from an Excel sheet. However, the subscription of Illustrator is more than I can pay to print price tags right now. Is there a one time purchase for a Mac program that would be able to do something similar? Has anyone done something like this or be able to point me to a tutorial? Thank you.

Other relevant info

Using Mac. Need to print price tags daily. Ideally create price tag templates that pull from Excel sheets that modify the size of the text to fill up as much of the price tag space as possible and fit the entire text in the allotted space.

When this issue began

2015

Recurring issue

Yes

Cause/Steps to recreate the issue

Decided to use a Mac. (hehe) Bought NiceLabel Express.

What I've tried so far to resolve the issue

Searched for Mac alternatives and there seems to be nothing. There's a lot of label printers on Mac and Windows for bar code creation, shipping labels etc. but not so much for simple price tags that I would like to be large and clear.
