hello, I recently got my pc infected with a virus. I know for a fact that it is infected and I know how it got infected. When I start my Pc I see a command prompt flash open then close. The only issues I've seen are a decrease in internet speed and lots of pc crashes when I try to open a torrent magnet link.
When I open task manager I see a program called windows process manager open and a bunch of random services that come up linked to viruses. I cannot end the programs though. Nothing happens when I try to end the process manager and the other process just relaunch after a couple seconds.
I found the file location that I think that virus is running from but I can't seem to access it because I think it is encrypted. I can not open the folder to see the files. I also cannot delete the folder and when I try to I am told the folder is open in another program and I cannot delete it.
I have run multiple antivirus software that have all showed up clean. I have tried AVG, Malwarebytes, Adaware and Windows Defender. I have tried decrypting the file and forcing a delete with IOrbit which failed. Iorbit also said the folder wasn't encrypted. I used Process Explorer to find the processes linked to the virus and to see if I could close it from there; I could not.
I seem to have no solution left other than to restore my pc back to factory settings. If anyone has a potential solution to get rid of the folder or virus I would greatly appreciate it.
