Description of problem
Hello everyone.I am having performance problem for a few weeks now. I tried a few things but nothing helped so far. As an architecture student I am using resource-intensive software. I know my laptop is not the best suit for the programs (CAD, 3D, Adobe Creative programs) I use, but I am a somewhat poor student and a new laptop is no real option for now.I am currently thinking about formatting the pc (which I would like to avoid because it would take a lot of time to reinstall everything), so this is my last attempt to fix it.
When this issue began
A few weeks ago
Recurring issue
Yes
Date of purchase
N/A
Under Warranty
No
Cause/Steps to recreate the issue
It freezes when I am using power hungry software like... Firefox CAD Programs (AutoCAD, Vectorworks, ...) Adobe Creative programs (Ai, Id, Ps) Mostly using these programs, it feels like it randomly slows down and is near a freeze or freezes.
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
What I did so far... -Changed to "Selective startup" and disabled unnecessary programs via "System Configuration" -SFC /SCANNOW -Checked drivers -Disk cleanup -Increase virtual memory -Run memory check -Disk check -Deleted files in Temp folder
-Check "Reliability history": it tells me the "Microsoft.Photos.exe" stopped working a few times in the past and that I did not properly shut down windows (due to the freezes, where I have to shut off the power to remain using it)
