I'm upgrading heat-sink because my CPU is constantly at 80-100°C (176-212ºF) idle. I just installed two bottom (exhaust) fans to improve GPU temperature (it worked) but now suddenly the CPU is overheating. When looking for low profile (LP) heat-sinks, some comments said they had to by LP ram for it to fit onto the mobo (Mini-ITX size).
Whilst I don't think this is the case, I would really appreciate some second opinions, in case I need to return it. Also, if anyone has an idea as to why my CPU is running at 80-100 degrees idle, that would be great! The PC isn't even a year old yet so lacking thermal paste is already ruled out.
