This isn't an issue with the tech, but if you've done a lot of teardowns you'll see the issue.

You might recognize that nub as one of the things that holds components in place. We're having trouble getting it back, and I'm hoping someone else might have a good idea.
We can't force it in - it won't budge, and if it takes more strength than we can put out by hand then we might risk damaging it.
I suggested cutting off the nub, but there's concern about how that might affect the electronics, and, even then, damaging the tablet further is a last resort.
A complete teardown is on the table, but that's just a vague hope that it'll be easier to reassemble that way, and I think that's not very likely.
