My Sapphire R9 380 literally exploded in my tower. Luckily it was only the fans, but the card no longer works. I've had issues with that card since day one. Currently using the old HD 5870 I upgraded from till I get a new card. I'm looking for an upgrade to that card. I'm tired of always going low end "cheap" upgrades. But a 1080ti is out of my price range, i think($900). The Sapphire Nitro R9 380 was my first big buy (around $300 at the time). But I was pretty disappointed to find out it only provided a minimal performance boost (witcher 3 went from 20 fps at max to 34 ish and I had MASSIVE heat issues with the card). I was looking at a 1060($300), but I think that's mostly a side grade to what I had? Or should I save up for a 1070($450~) or 1080($600)? I have maybe $75 disposable income per paycheck to save up. So it'd take a while. I have a lot of trouble when it comes to choosing video cards. I would really appreciate some solid answers.
