Hi all.

Recently I have gotten some interest in possibly taking MCSA 70-740 and borrowed the set of study guide from a friend of mine, and also got a copy of the windows server iso from him.

My budget is pretty tight right now (I know that contradicts my interest in taking the examination) and my main machine runs on a Windows 7 Home edition as such it does not have Hyper-V. So I thought, could I just install Win2016 onto a VHD and native-ly boot it. I followed the link below:

and then it came to running the command 'bcdboot'

My current system runs on a single partition and I have a gut feeling that if I run this, it will kill my current system and render it unbootable forever (except (possibility) bootable to the vhd).

I would like to check if running bcdboot will ruin the system. And if bcdboot /m would help.

If you are wondering "why not virtual box"? It is because I want to utilize type 1 virtualization.
