So as the title states, I navigated to gmail today to check one of my accounts (I have several gmail accounts, so I usually have to pull up the list of accounts and select the one I want), however instead of seeing my gmail account that always comes up first, I found myself looking at someone else's inbox. The account's email address is nothing like mine, and it has several New Sign In and Security Alerts dating back to 2015, with the most recent one being for a Mac on October 6th, which I'm assuming is referring to my Mac.
I have no idea how this sign-in occurred and I am kind of freaking out because I have never heard of anything like this happening before. My Mac hasn't left my house since last Monday October 2nd and I don't have anybody living with me that would have signed in to an account. I don't even know anybody by the name that makes up the email address (a first and last name). I took a screenshot of the inbox as well as the Mac login email message and can post if necessary. I've also not signed out of the account just to maintain evidence of the fact that I am signed into it.
I'm just trying to get some sort of idea as to what has happened and if I need to be worried about this (or rather how worried I need to be). Not really sure where to post this so I hope this is the right subreddit, but if anyone has a better suggestion please let me know.
TL;DR I'm signed into someone else's email and I have no idea how it happened, help?!
