I have a monthly data cap of 100 GB, after which our internet goes to unusable speeds (~20kB/s). Recently there has been some conflict in my house, as my eldest son claims that our youngest sone has been using >45 GB downloading game updates and programs on the XBox and laptop. The younger son, naturally, claims that the eldest son has been using all the data for watching YouTube and Netflix.

This has caused a bit of tension as of late, and I don't want to take away their devices entirely, but have no good way of limiting their data usage without consulting the useage metres on the laptop/xBox (which are both innacurate and easily modified).

Ideally I would be able to limit individual devices like the XBox to say, 20 GB a month, or down to a low enough speed that loging into games and being webpages would be fine, but big downloads impractical without consulting me.

I have a Netgear router, and the Netgear genie software installed on my PC.
