Le autorità iraniane hanno impedito oggi che si tenesse una “manifestazione illegale” sulla tomba del re achemenide Ciro il Grande, fondatore dell’Impero persiano achemenide, e arrestati dei “controrivoluzionari” i quali hanno fatto campagna per tenere la manifestazione.
“Il ministero della Sicurezza ha identificato e smantellato i responsabili di un gruppo controrivoluzionario sui social network che voleva organizzare un incontro illegale con il pretesto di celebrare Ciro”, ha riferito l’agenzia di stampa Mizaonline, che dipende dall’autorità giudiziaria iraniana.
Sabato e domenica le autorità hanno chiuso la principale autostrada che unisce Shiraz e Isfahan, da dove si accede ai resti di Pasargade, la prima capitale dell’Impero achemenide e dove si trova la Tomba di Ciro, morto nel 520 avanti Cristo.
Il 29 ottobre 2016 diverse migliaia di persone si riunirono a Pasargade per tenere una “giornata di Ciro” nella quale commemorare la presa di Babilonia da parte del re persiano. Si racconta che, allora, Ciro risparmiò la popolazione e liberò gli schiavi.
