Si presentano come patrioti della cultura e della bellezza italica. Pronti a organizzare una resistenza civile «contro il brutto, l’inutile e l’idiota». E già messa così è difficile non subire il fascino dell’appello. I protagonisti della nuova avventura politica italiana sono Vittorio Sgarbi e Giulio Tremonti, critico d’arte ed economista tra i più discussi. Lo sguardo volto alle prossime elezioni, nelle antiche sale di Palazzo Madama la strana coppia ha tenuto ieri a battesimo il nuovo movimento. Si chiama Rinascimento. Un partito che fin dalle premesse individua un obiettivo non poco complicato: evitare di lasciare l’Italia «in mano ai nuovi barbari e agli eterni ignoranti». La conferenza è coinvolgente, a tratti surreale. A un certo punto si presenta al Senato il grande chef Gianfranco Vissani, impeccabile nell’abito scuro e le scarpe di colore rosso brillante. Poche ore prima, in un’intervista al Corriere, Sgarbi aveva fatto trapelare la lista dei ministri in un eventuale esecutivo a sua guida. Una boutade, sia chiaro. Una squadra di governo utopica, dice lui, ma bellissima. L’astronauta Cristoforetti agli Esteri, il calciatore Buffon allo Sport, Andrea Bocelli al Turismo…. Per il Commercio con l’estero Sgarbi aveva scelto il cuoco Massimo Bottura. Apriti Cielo. Vissani, offesissimo, lo ha chiamato ottenendo il primo rimpasto di governo. Il critico d’arte lo annuncia al termine dell’incontro con la stampa: «Gianfranco, il posto da ministro è tuo!».
