Il ministro della giustizia brasiliano, Torquato Jardim, ha confermato che il governo ha deciso di estradare Cesare Battisti. In un’intervista con Bbc Brasil, il ministro ha chiamato in causa «la sospetta fuga» dal Paese, di cui si è reso protagonista l’ex terrorista dei Proletari Armati per il Comunismo, e la «violazione del rapporto di fiducia».
«Adesso abbiamo un governo veramente democratico in Brasile e non possiamo dare protezione a un criminale. L’estradizione deve essere fatta» spiega il sindaco di San Paolo, Joao Doria, dopo aver incontrato il sindaco di Milano, Giuseppe Sala, in un faccia a faccia che ha riguardato anche il caso di Battisti, l’ex terrorista che vive in Brasile e che potrebbe essere estradato in Italia per scontare la pena.
