My boss would like to start having multiple email addresses to send and receive emails from clients. However there is a severe limitation of our computer system (confirmed by tech support) that there can only be one sending email address and one receiving email address.
My immediate solution was to add a signature to emails directing clients to contact the correct email address from the signature list. However our computer system strips signatures. Next I looked at the templates of the system and am completely convinced that I am incapable of modifying or adding templates without significant time spent learning the language (some weird HTML hybrid, it's scary).
My options seem to be limited to: having staffers Manually write in what email address to reply to in each outgoing email, using a hub email address (as there is currently) and monitoring it/forwarding emails to their correct departments, and finally setting up some kind of macro on high volume computers for easy entry of the email list so that staffers have to only press one key to enter it.
Do I have any other options (besides getting a new computer system, it won't fly)? Is the macro idea as bad as a half my brain is telling me it is? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
