Hello!
I hope I'm in the right place. I will try to be as specific as possible but I am not a tech person so I may not get it all right.
I bought a house a couple of months ago and there are ethernet ports in every room - sweet! Unfortunately I have just discovered that the only "live" ethernet port is the one my router is connected to. I checked out the setup in the basement to try to figure out what was going on and I am a bit confused. It looks like the Verizon rep who installed our internet bypassed the home wiring system and hard wired directly to the specific port that the router is plugged in to.
I want the rest of the ethernet ports to be active as well. Is there any way for me to set this up without paying for Verizon to come back and re-do this? They may charge $35 per port they activate so I'd rather fix it myself if possible. Here's a link to a couple of photos that may better illustrate my issue
