Description of problem
Windows 10 every now and again tells me I need to schedule an update. It gives me a choice of maybe five days to do this, and obviously I choose the latest one possible because I know what'll happen and I want to put it off, but eventually it happens anyway.
The computer turns off, turns on, shows a progress page, gets to 26% and freezes. Every. Single. Time.
So I hard restart it, it restores my Windows 10 installation, and life goes on as if I hadn't just been inconvenienced for no reason.
If I can stop this from happening, I'd love to.
Realistically, I know I can't.
If I can get the update to work, I suppose I'll do that. But I have no idea how. Can you help?

Just leaving the computer. Eventually it'll tell me I need to restart and update.
What I've tried so far to resolve the issue
I've tried going into Services and disabling Windows Update. That seemed to work for a while, but if it did, it came back on eventually.
