Short story: I share a house with 3 other people ( one being my SO) and we all chip in toward a internet provider (TWC). Ever since one of the house mates plugged up some extra stuff to our modem (not sure what it is, looks like another modem) my connection quality has been absolutely terrible. Netflix doesn’t connect or often buffers to a degree intolerable. Not even YouTube will load anything. Pages take upward of a minute to load completely. What I mean to ask is: is there anyway he can prioritize his IPs and make mine secondary? He has a lot of gaming/ computer equipment and I assume, if there is a way to do it, he’d know. Normally, when he isn’t here everything works just fine. It’s not until he steps into the office that the quality is crap. I don’t confront anyone over my suspicions either. Is there any way to see if he has done this?
Edit: equipment consists of a netgear connected to what I assume is the modem, a grey “ubee” and all that is connected to something plugged into an outlet. A “TP link.
