This is my video editing PC (I am a videographer) and I also use my computer to mine Monero on the CPU and Zcash on the GPU - I tend to run the miners for 16 hours per day if I am not editing. I have never really had any issues until today.
I was watching YouTube videos with the miners running in the background when the gpu crashed and restarted, the screens froze temporarily and the sound output glitched and then started to loudly buzz. The gpu reset and continued to mine immediately but the sound did not return to normal so I restarted the PC. I expected it to be a driver issue and that as soon as I got to boot screen the sound would be back to normal but the buzzing / distortion is still happening.
I tried moving the line out 3.5mm aux to the headphone output on the front of the pc case and I still have the same problem - it's not the speakers because I can plug in my phone with no issues.
My sound and mobo drivers are all up to date. My gpu drivers are one version behind and I am updating them now to see if that helps. If it doesn't, I don't know what to do.
