I have a dell inspiron 15-7559 that until recently worked fine. However, a few months ago an issue came up where sometimes the charge cord (the one that came with it) would refuse to work and say it wasn't recognized as the right cord. But that would be on and off, and didn't otherwise cause issues. Aside from this it still worked fine. Then, two weeks ago for whatever reason it started going slow for a few days. But then after that, it stopped going slow, but started overheating. I thought the fans were just broken at first, but the fans seem to work fine. Core temp says the cores are around 38 celsius.
It overheating happens just form normal use. But it seems to get worse when the charge cord is in. I tried other charge cords that are made for other dells, but have the same ending and it doesn't seem to be any different. I'm not sure what this is or why it started so suddenly. Is it the battery?
Also, the reason I thought it might be the fans being broken is because I saw that they normally weren't running. But then I read somewhere that they aren't supposed to always run?
