I hope you guys can help me. I really don’t know what to do. Sorry for any bad English in advance.
About one week ago my pc suddenly shut off without warning. There was no noise or any kind of burnt smell or similar. When I tried to boot it up again nothing happened. No beeps from the motherboard, none of the fans started turning. The hardware was as follows: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k GPU: EVGA GeForce gtx 970 Motherboard: ASROCK z97 extreme4 PSU: Corsair ax760 CPU cooler: cooler Master hyper 212 evo 16 GB DDR3 ram installed 128 GB Samsung SSD with Windows 7 64 Bit 1 TB HDD (don’t know its specifics) At first I assumed the PSU failed, so I ordered a new one and installed it but that did not make any difference so I returned it. Then I tried to boot without the 16 GB memory installed but once again nothing happened. No beeps from the motherboard or anything. At this point I thought the motherboard must be at fault. At first I tried replacing the CMOS battery but once again without success. So I wanted to order a new motherboard but no decent LGA1150 boards are being sold anymore where I live. So I decided to upgrade since in my mind the problem would have to be fixed with a new motherboard. So today I installed a ryzen 5 1600x with a Bequiet pure rock cpu cooler on a ASUS prime x370-pro with 2x8 GB Corsair 3000 MHz DDR4 modules (they are supported by the motherboard). GPU, PSU, SSD and HDD are still the same as in the previous build. When I tried booting still nothing happened, no beeps from the motherboard, no fans start turning but I did notice some led lighting on the motherboard starts.
Do you guys have any idea what is at fault or what I could try to fix my pc? Once again sorry for any bad English and sorry for bad formatting (I am on mobile) Please let me know if there is any more information I can/should provide.
