I had a buddy who built a new custom computer which ran fine for 10 days and sudden it shuts down and then just gets stuck in restart loop. There are also other problems that occurred too:
- Getting a BSOD stating video scheduler internal error at login screen
- PC boots up but monitor is blank and shows orange light
- PC constantly powering up and shutting down before anything showed on screen
- Screen froze and nothing else occurs
Specs:
- Intel i7-7700K kaby lake quad core 4.2GHz
- Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 RAM 2x16GB
- Zotac GeForce GTX1070 GDDR5 8GHz
- MSI Z270-A-Pro Mobo
- CX750M PSU
- Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler
- Samsung 250GB SSD and WD Blue 1TB HDD
- Ran Windows 10 Home (Not Activated)
We've tried fresh installation of Windows 10 which did not solve the problem. Although the BSOD is gone, the PC constantly crashes and restart without warning. We've tried a different PSU, using built in mobo display, and even reseated the RAM, yet the problem still occurs. It is only when we were in Bios settings or booted in safe mode that the problem didn't occur.
Our latest attempt was switching out the mobo to a Asus Prime Z270-A, plug everything in (including the GPU). We fresh installed everything and it ran fine. But after installing primary and nvidea drivers and restarting, it crashed into the BSOD with the video scheduler message again.
We've removed the GPU and fresh installed windows but the screen occasionally turns blank with colors now (sometimes white, blue or pink).
I'm at a lost on what to do. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
